I really like how it shows the transformation in Bucks’ personality, first from a domestic dog to being mistreated as a working dog, to being unconditionally loved by humans and other dogs, and at the end to being a wild animal.

Did watch the movie first and liked it a lot. But the book is a million times better, one of the better books I’ve read so far.
